The ISF Francophone Chapter Meeting

Privanova took part in the Information Security Forum Francophone Chapter meeting. Organised in Paris on the 29^th of March 2022 the event focused on cybersecurity and provided an excellent opportunity for the regional ISF members to meet and discuss security and risk management issues.

Privanova was invited to present its portfolio of EU-funded, innovative projects as all of them contribute towards a viable and safe future for the European cyberspace by addressing information security, cyber-resilience and risk management in a very direct way. Our presentation was part of a larger discussion titled “Taking a holistic view of cybercrime”.

Collaboration with ISF

As an organization that assembles global business leaders, ISF conceives methodologies and solutions for its members in order to mitigate their information security risks. Its main role is to nourish exchanges and incubate expertise pertaining to these issues while acting as a consultancy service provider that offers expertise and training.

Privanova works side by side with ISF in relevant EU-funded projects such as CC-Driver which aims to design new methods to prevent, investigate, and mitigate cybercriminal behavior by analyzing the human factors behind it. In this context, ISF brings its expertise to the project’s consortium in order to establish an overall understanding of cybercriminality that goes beyond technical issues.

Privanova’s engagement in cybercrime-related projects

During the ISF meeting, Privanova presented a set of EU-funded innovation projects. Our presentation included information on CYBERSPACE, CC-DRIVER, TRACE, CYRENE and AI4HEALTHSEC. All of these projects have information security, cybercrime prevention and cyber resilience as a common denominator. This thematic engagement manifests Privanova’s vision of a safe and ethical European cyber environment.

The contribution of Privanova to projects related to cybersecurity and anti-cybercriminality also stems from our extensive expertise in working with LEAs, as we take part in high-profile networks such as INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Knowledge Exchange. Presenting our work at events hosted by partners such as ISF is hence an important step to enhancing the synergies between various projects and stakeholders. These communication and dissemination activities directly contribute to the visibility of our projects and help the adoption of the project outcomes by relevant end-user communities.

Privanova’s dissemination activities on cyber-related projects

By presenting Privanova’s engagement in cyber resilience-related, EU-funded projects, we make sure that we are optimizing all the platforms that we have access to in order to disseminate and communicate on EU efforts in the field.

Dissemination and communication are of extreme importance as they translate Privanova’s engagement in the success and practical implementation of the results of these projects. At Privanova, we consider that it is primordial for service suppliers and end-users to have a satisfactory level of understanding of the risks that come with digitalization; dissemination and communication are therefore indispensable to a clear understanding of these risks.

Privanova also disseminates those efforts at a universal level as we take part in the United Nations Ad Hoc Committee that works on conceiving an International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes.
