Privanova’s Expertise Recognised on Global Stage at UNODC Panel
Farhan Sahito, Partner at Privanova, spoke at the UNODC Constructive Dialogue on Technical Assistance & International Cooperation on 2 June 2025. He joined Panel Topic 2: “Exchange of good practices in international cooperation to freeze and confiscate proceeds of crime in the form of virtual currencies.” He featured Privanova’s key EU-funded projects TRACE, SAFEHORIZON, IAMI, POLIIICE, CONVERT, SECUR-EU, GROUNDUP, and SPARKUP, all focused on fostering collaboration with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and driving innovation in cybersecurity, and shared best practices.
Privanova’s official statement is now available on the UNODC website. Drawing on insights from our EU-funded projects, the statement highlights key gaps in current international practices and underscores the critical need for trust, harmonised frameworks, and interoperable tools to support law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in cross-border efforts to trace, freeze, and recover criminal assets involving virtual currencies.
