Privanova’s Statement Published on UNODC Website Following Constructive Dialogue on the Smuggling of Migrants 2026

Farhan Sahito represented Privanova at the UNODC Constructive Dialogue on the Smuggling of Migrants, where he delivered a presentation on “Digital Evidence and Cross-Border Information Sharing in Migrant Smuggling Investigations: From Encrypted Platforms and AI to Court-Admissible Evidence.”

During his presentation, Farhan explored how digital evidence, international cooperation, and the rule of law can strengthen migrant smuggling investigations and enable more effective cross-border collaboration.

He also highlighted the expertise and insights developed through several EU-funded projects, including IAMI, SafeHorizon, Eloquence, POLIIICE, SECUR-EU, GroundUp, and SparkUp, demonstrating how collaborative European research is helping address complex security challenges.
